Its November and the fishing was great last summer. We caught a lot of great fish, and are 100% with clients catching fish. Nobody has come home without catching fish. Nobody tipped over either. The days are growing shorter, and we're focusing more on shrimp and crabs through the winter.
There's still some coho, halibut, and lingcod around but the fishing is tapering off for the year. Shrimping and crabbing dominate the winter months as far as kayak fishing goes, and rockfish are also around all year.
We have lots of new gear on the way for next season, and it should be another great summer next year so book your trip early to save your spot for the best fishing, and best approach to fishing, in Alaska!
